Flaskan spelar ingen roll, så länge du blir full

(The bottle doesn’t matter, as long as you get drunk)

I thought and said that for a long time. Probably because of a limited budget to buy something else as the Listel Gris, some basic Beaujolais and cheap Fendant to go with the fondue.

Then, thanks to a good and solid education in the wine world, given mostly by my parents, and a good and steady progression of my salary traded for my hard work, I became an happy enjoyer of the great wines that are produced in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria and of course Switzerland.

For a few days, and thanks to Zeno, I discover that the German wines are not anymore this ultra sweetened syrup they uses to be. a

And now, going further north, I discover the Swedish wine …

So, for the skeptics of global warming, take that in your face : they making wine in Sweden, and for the fact, very good wine.

Lickeri (happiness), assemblage
The plants
The grapes

The wine we drank was made a few kilometer away from our camping, by the Kullasberg Winery.

Just have a look at that : The Swedish Wine Tasting 2024

You have also surely noticed, at the third place, there is an English wine!!??

So, two thoughts about that:

  1. Global warming is a fact, and we are obliged to do our best to prevent an uninhabitable world for our children and grand children.
  2. And to give us the heart and strength to do it, we find now almost in every country in Europe some great bottles with great wines. Just don’t fly there every weekend, and it will be all right.

So, stay tuned, and “hydrated” 😉
